PlotUtils: plotting utilities and library
The GNU plotutils package contains software for both programmers and technical users. Its centerpiece is libplot, a powerful C/C++ function library for exporting 2-D vector graphics in many file formats, both vector and raster. It can also do vector graphics animations. libplot is device-independent in the sense that its API (application programming interface) does not depend on the type of graphics file to be exported. Besides libplot, the package contains command-line programs for plotting scientific data. Many of them use libplot to export graphics. The program also contains the following command-line programs for plotting scientific data:
If you download the Setup program of the package, any requirements for running applications, such as dynamic link libraries (DLL's) from the dependencies as listed below under Requirements, are already included. If you download the package as Zip files, then you must download and install the dependencies zip file yourself. Developer files (header files and libraries) from other packages are however not included; so if you wish to develop your own applications, you must separately install the required packages.
